My granddaughter bought some Tiffany Jewerly @ a sale a lady was having because she was moving to Europe. But she can't tell if it is real or not?
She doesn't want to take it to an appraiser and there are no Tiffany stores in our area.|||The jewelry will have "Tiffany %26amp; Co." inscribed on it....|||I would say those two options you mention are the best.
How else would you be able to know....|||You can tell by the weight of the jewelry and also where the placement of the 925 is.
What type of Tiffany jewelry did she buy?
She can also visit www.tiffany.com and compare your jewerly to the photo.
Good luck!|||ooh that's a toughie.
ive seen a lot of fake tiffany jewelery (ones that seem 100% real too!), and the best way is to take it to a Tiffany store, but seeing as how there isn't one by you, I would suggest checking the authenticity of the stampings (Tiffany %26amp;Co., .925, etc). but keep in mind that even fake Tiffany these days have these stampings, so it's not a 100% sure way to tell.
It also depends on which piece she bought, but generally, my experience with fake Tiffany will tell you that usually the fake pieces are really shiny and just feels... cheap. if you have any other .925 silver jewlery, compare the color, texture, and weight.
good luck :)|||i think, you could compare it to real tiffany jewelry. but the best would be to take it to a jeweler. look for trademarks o approvings etc.|||,Take it to a Tiffany's jeweler, they can tell you.
