What paint colors are similar to Tiffany blue but not quite as bright?

I don't want to just bring in a Tiffany box for a color match because I think the exact color would be overwhelming in my room, but I'd like something that is similar to it but more subdued. I have an enormous bedroom so colors that would be charming in a small space are too intense. Do you know of any paint colors that are the robin's egg blue but lighter?|||Take the Tiffany box into the store paint store so you have the too bright colour to refer to when picking a less bright colour. Every paint company has its own names for its colours. What one company calls Bahama blue might be very close what another company calls Nassau blue, so you can't really go by names. Don't buy the paint first time at the store. Just take home a bunch of colour chips that look more or less like what you want. Keep them in your room, maybe taped to the wall, for a few days so you can see how they look in different lights and on different walls. See which one draws your eye the most, which one gives you the best feeling. And nothing says all the walls have to be the same colour. You can pick that bright Tiffany for one wall, and more subdued but matching or complimenting colours for other walls. My last bedroom had a soft grey blue on 3 walls but the wall the bed was on, the one you saw as you walked into the room, was a deep teal. It looked warm and inviting, but I didn't have to look at a whole room of it which would have been too much.|||Go to the paint store and find a paint strip with that Tiffany blue on it. Paint strips usually have 5 or 6 shades of the same color on them. Look at a shade or two lighter than that blue and see if that is what you want. Every brand of paint out there will be slightly different and they don't all have the same names. That makes it harder on everyone. You know, you can take your Tiffany box into most paint stores and they can color match it. Then maybe it can be lightened. It's worth asking! Good Luck!|||turquoise
