What does the xii on tiffany and co jewlery mean?

I just got an early xmas present, a pair of atlas cuff links from tiffany and co. They are pretty sweet, just wondering if the roman numeral xii has any significance to it? I am sure it has to.|||if you look at other things in the atlas collection, they have roman numerals 3, 6, 9, and 12 on them like a clock. the XII means 12 and it probably has to do with the fact that all clocks begin at 12.|||http://www.mytiffanycity.com/
